If you live in Independence, KY (or close) I wanted to share with you a one day special for this Saturday, September 26th from 8:00-2:00 p.m. Hashbrowns are going to be .25 cents and small fries are going to be .25 cents! What a great way to treat your kids after/before soccer or on the weekend!
I am planning to buy 20 hash browns and freeze them. I have never tried this before but Peyton loves McDonald’s hashbrowns. I will take them out of the paper (but save the wrappers as I am afraid they won’t be the same to him without the wrappers) and freeze them on a cookie sheet. Then I will place the frozen hash browns in a freezer safe container. I will let you know how it goes! I am always looking for quick breakfasts on the go and he really thinks it is a special treat to get a McDonalds breakfast. At $.25 you can’t go wrong.
I also noticed that every Thursday from 4-8 p.m. that they offer a manager’s special and you can get a hamburger or cheeseburger happy meal for $1.50. I have been told that you can freeze the hamburgers/cheeseburgers. I was told to remove the pickle first and remove it from the original wrapper and then place in a freezer safe container.
This person buys the apple dippers instead of fries and then uses the juice box/milk. I wanted to pass this money saving idea onto all of you! Plus she has toys to use for rewards/incentives or even to hand out at Halloween!
UPDATE: The freezer method works – I have tried it on the hash browns and my son loved them. I did end up keeping the wrappers.
