Easy Overnight Oatmeal (Crockpot)


 

Easy Overnight Oatmeal

Ingredients
  • 4 cups of milk
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. melted Butter
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 cups old-fashioned or steel cut oats
  • 2 cups apple, chopped
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped

Instructions
  1. Coat the inside of a 3-4 quart slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Combine all ingredients in the slow cooker and mix well. Cover and cook on warm or low setting overnight, or 7-8 hours. In the morning, check immediately for overcooking. Refrigerate leftovers.

Notes
Additional Toppings: Butter, brown sugar, honey, cinnamon, chopped walnuts, raisins, chocolate chips, syrup, fruit, cinnamon

  2. This sounds so good. I didn’t even know y’all had recipes on this site until tonight, when I read the 3 min. pasta contest. I am glad I looked! I am finding some really good recipes.

  3. If you have a newer crockpot, leave it on warm for most of the night and turn it up to high for about a half hour or otherwise it will overcook!

  4. Mine overcooked, unfortunately. I may try more liquid next time and/or the leave it on warm idea. I salvaged about half of it and added a ton of liquid to avoid wasting all of it.
