I am a huge believer in networking. I believe that the best way to grow is with each other. I would suggest joining Mom Bloggers Club. For me that has been a huge resource. I found my blog designer through Mom Bloggers Club, made blogging friends and hopefully gained some readers through my networking there. I also like The Blog Frog and TwitterMoms.com.
There are so many benefits to networking. I can honestly not think of one reason why you would not want to network with other bloggers. Now, what I do suggest is not networking until you have your feet wet. Meaning that the day you launch your blog I don’t suggest emailing every blogger you can find. After you are established, I suggest emailing other bloggers and introducing yourself to them. You could tell them that you admire their blog and why and even ask if they would be interested in exchanging links, if they have a blog roll.
I suggest participating in blog carnivals, linkies and Meme’s. A meme is a group topic that most often occurs weekly where you can “link a post” to the hosting blog. When participating you link back to the host, so it is a win/win for you both. A linky is simple a place for you to gain traffic as you are linking to the blog which provides you with exposure to that blogs readers. These are ways to gain traffic to your blog. For instance we host several linkies here and by participating you are able to get exposure for your site.
You can also look for opportunities to do guest posts. Some blogs offer the opportunity and if so it is a great way to get exposure for your blog. I also suggest forming a web-ring. A web-ring is an exchange of links for example Blog A points to Blog B and Blog B points to Blog C and Blog C points to Blog D and Blog D points to Blog E and Blog E points to Blog A. This is a great way for your group to grow. Another idea is to exchange buttons with other bloggers to be on the front of their home page. This will bring you the more traffic than a blogroll however being on a home page may not always be an option as some bloggers don’t exchange links in that manner or charge for it.
You can email deals/great posts to other bloggers hoping they will “link” to you however that is no guarantee and often times you are just cluttering their inbox. My suggestion is only email an extremely HOT deal or when you really need your blogger friends help. For example, I emailed blogger friends when I needed votes for my Camp Blogaway Contest and for our Ronzoni SmartTaste Photo Contest. However, sometimes if you “over email” deals it will just work against you when it comes to networking.
I hope this blogging series is helping you. If you have a specific question or topic you would like covered please leave a comment here. I am going to include a linky if you want to link up to your blog. I love a good blog hop or Meme so if you know of one please feel free to list them as well!

Lynda, I hope the series helps you!!!
I found that Twitter works. That’s how I found you. I found that commenting on the same blog(genuinely commenting) can lead to a blogship (blog+relationship..sorry.lol). I nominated one of my repeat commenters for an award from a blog that featured me because I comment on her blog often.
Thanks Adrienne,
I agree. I have formed relationships this way too!
