I am very excited to share with you the Paper Mate new Biodegradable products!  We attempt to be as green and crunchy as we can.  You know we recycle, compost and try to help Mother Earth whenever possible.  Now we can help by purchasing Paper Mate biodegradable pens and mechanical pencils.

I know this is not the most frugal product on the market however it is better for our environment and we wanted to share it with you as we love to find green products to share with you.  Paper Mate has launched a new line of eco-friendly writing utensils, which include biodegradable pens and mechanical pencils.  What I love about the product is they are actually really nice writing utensils!  I love the soft grip that they have and they write great!  The pens and pencils are completely biodegradable!

And to help turn a summer afternoon into a fun learning experience, Mom Central, along with Paper Mate, has created the Plant-A-Pen Challenge to give our kids a first hand look at how products impact our environment and create some great family memories.  So Peyton and I headed to the garden for some fun in the summer heat and deposited one of our new Paper Mate Biodegradable pens into the corner of the garden (removing the ink cartridge first).  Peyton thought it was strange to place a “pen” into the garden as it is definitely not a vegetable .

It was a great teaching opportunity that we can help save our Earth by doing small things like switching to biodegradable products!  It is amazing to me to think that now we have the opportunity to save our planet one pen and pencil at a time.  Thanks Paper Mate!
