Does a shorter shower really pay off? The answer is YES! I wasn’t actually testing this but it ended up I learned a valuable lesson. My 3 year old is in shower mode. It is a good thing and a bad thing. When I jump in the shower in the morning he sits outside the door and screams. He wants to get in. I always tell him when I am finished he can get in. This helps me because when I am drying my hair he is tearing my house apart. NO NAP BOY is in to everything when the hairdryer comes on. So I have been putting him in the shower!
That is until the dreaded water bill came this month. Last month my water bill was $26.50 and this month it was $54.86!! HOLY COW!! So the answer is YES, shorten your showers and cut your bill in half!
I never really knew the impact of a long shower until now. So I thought I would share my mistake to help you see it really does matter.

Ouch! Glad we have our own well, it just seems wrong to pay for water
I hate paying for anything that goes down the drain…LOL!
Oh Melissa!! You are funny!
Thanks for the comment Niki!!
Put in the plug toward the end of your shower to save about 3 or 4 inches of water and let your son take a quick play bath while you finish up.
You get a clean, happy son and don’t waste any water!
Good Idea!!
