Every Friday is Friday Fun Day for my Peyton and me. When he gets off the bus we “hopefully” celebrate that he stayed “on green” all week at school and if he does then we jump in the van and head out and do something fun together! I started this at the beginning of the year after he had a couple of color changes as I thought the positive reinforcement might be a great tool. So far (for the most part) it really works!
However, we don’t want to break the budget when it comes to our Friday Fun activities. This past Friday we had a great time and spent $7.07 Out of Pocket!
We headed to Sonic to use Peyton birthday coupon. He got a FREE kids meal and I packed a lunch to eat in the car
After Sonic we headed to Build A Bear – where he used his birthday coupon for a Buy One $10 Bear Get a $10 outfit for FREE. He chose a $10 pet and a $15 outfit so we came out at $5.60 plus tax
Luckily we bought a $10 gift card for $5.00 when we were there in December so we only came out $5.00 Out of Pocket! In fact right now through February 14th you get FREE sweethearts candy with any purchase.
After we headed to the foodcourt to Great American Cookie and used a BOGO coupon where he enjoyed dessert with one to take home for Daddy
This was a fun filled afternoon where we got to enjoy making memories together for only $7.07 – a totally priceless experience! It just goes to show that by strategically using coupons you can really have a wonderful family fun day!
