Stockpiling Saturday – Always Make A List

Today for Stockpiling Saturday let’s talk about why to Always Make A List.

When Stockpiling you should never leave home without a list!  If you do you will spend more than you intended to! At my house I have two separate list.  One list is for perishables and things I need right away and the second is a stockpile list.  I stick by these lists like glue!  The only way I will sway from the list is if it is FREE or at least 85 to 90% off.

Another reason you want to make a list is you want to figure what you are going to spend before you leave your house.  This way if a coupon does not go through or a sale price does not show up you know it. This happens more than you think!  If the cashier will not help you take your issue to the service desk.  You will find if you politely ask they will fix it for you quickly without a fuss.

In fact you can use our FREE printable lists – they save you time and money.  Plus you can customize them!

No kidding! I was overwhelmed and intimidated by the longs lines at Walgreens and CVS during their black fri sales and now I have to go back to both to either correct the item prices or return them. No bargain if the price rings wrong!

  2. Ever since I met Melissa at our FCC MOPS meeting the other week, I feel like I have a game plan to help our family save money. I find myself visiting your site every day :-), bought a FoodSaver and already starting using it to freeze meats, fruits, and deli items I surely would have thrown away, now it’s Saturday morning and I am making my list! Let’s just see if I can keep this up! Great job ladies!!!

  3. I save all my junk mail return envelopes. I then write my list on the envelope and put the coupons inside it. Each store gets its own envelope. I also list the price and size of item on the list so I know what I am looking for.
