I took afew cooking lessons to get ready for cooking thanksgiving for the first time. They told us to avoid using beaters for mashing and put the hot potatoes through a ricer instead. It doesn’t beat out the starch, and in turn makes the most wonderful mashed potatoes I’ve ever eaten. They aren’t super expensive, and a lot of people have them lying around from hand me down kitchen stuff. Just wanted to throw the option out there, I was excited to try it and find out it worked!
