We recently attended a fabulous owl pajama party at the Kenton County Library, Durr Branch in Independence, KY. Peyton had so much fun that I wanted to share this idea with you! It is easy to see how you can create a fun themed party from a book! This party was created around the book Hootenanny, A Festive Counting Book written by Kimberly Ainsworth. They did a great job with making the book come alive in this party!

At the party each child got to make his or her own stuffed owl. They chose bright colors for the owls and they were so much fun to make.

Here is a picture of Peyton with his own in front of one of the tree decorations.

This is a close up of one of the owl decorations that were spread throughout the room. Simple to make out of bright paper that was folded like an accordion and then turned into an owl.

We loved the owl goody bags! How cute and creative and very frugal too! This was a very affordable party and by adding PJ’s to the theme the kids were thrilled!

This is a super cute party idea! I love the variety of crafts at the party. Who wouldn’t love a cuddly owl pillow!
