We have decided to bring back the Frugal Weight Loss Challenge!

We would like to welcome you to join us in our journey to Frugal Weight Loss!  This is going to be a new weekly feature that hopefully we can all hold each other accountable!  In addition we are going to share with you some recipes, tips, and support each other on the the journey.

This is going to be a 6 week challenge.  Hopefully at the end of the 6 weeks we will all be weighing less, feeling better and be more active and we will have made some lifestyle changes.  If you would like to participate in the challenge make a comment here with your goal for the 6 week challenge and forms of exercise you are going to do.  The Challenge will officially begin on Monday, January 9, 2012.

    We challenge you to:

    1.  Give up ALL soft drinks and fruit juices and sugar in your coffee/tea.

    2.  Drink .5 ounces of water per pound of your actual body weight a day.

    3.  Avoid all fried food and fast food.

    4.  Get active – start exercising 3-5 times a week for at least 30 minutes a day (the more the better).

    5.  Set a weight loss goal for the 6 week weight loss challenge and reward yourself when you meet your goal.

So are you ready to join us in our Frugal Weight Loss Challenge?

I’m in, I started Jan 4th. On the HCG diet, thats kinda cheating but different things work for different people. I have already lost 4.6 lbs, my goal is 20 lbs, more would be nice.

I am in and this is just what I need. I started last week by eliminating pop and coffee and eating “natural”. I got my hubby to commit to doing P90x with me starting tomorrow am. He was so successful last summer so I hope he can motivate me to keep up the exercise along with the diet.

    I am also in!

Goal to lose 12 pounds in 6 weeks. Go from 270-258. Should fit better into my current clothes with just that much weight lost! Also trying to conceive baby #2. Would like to lose a little though before that since I have PCOS. Definitely focusing on some diet changes, a set fast food menu (yogurt, coffee, chili, baked potato) REAL FOODS ONLY. And moderation. I also need to get my butt moving!

I’m in! Went to a water aerobics class at the YMCA today and it felt sooo good! I intend to head there every day (mon thru fri). My goal is to lose the number “2″ from the scales asap.

I am definitely in. Hubby and I joined the gym together last week and I’ve gone 4 times so far, have my first meeting with a trainer tonight (it was free for the first 3 training sessions). My biggest challenge will be giving up the soda. I made a large batch of Weight Watcher’s cabbage soup and I plan on eating that for lunch at work every day for the next 4 weeks. We are going on our second honeymoon in 4 weeks, so that is my goal deadline.

Has anyone tried Sensa? It is a diet aid that you sprinkle on food and it is supposed to work with your olfactory senses so that you eat less as smell and hunger are intertwined…I just started using it yesterday but wondering if any of you have any experience with it.
