You can create one of kind coasters that will make a great gift!

DIY Tile Coasters are inexpensive gift idea. Summertime is full of BBQ’s, picnics and get together’s.  Make sure you show your host or hostess your appreciation by bringing a little something for them when you arrive at the party.  These easy DIY coasters are really inexpensive and so easy to make, you could make several bunches of them to last throughout the year! DIY Tile Coasters would also make a great Christmas gift idea or Teacher Appreciation Gift.

Supplies:

Stone tiles found at the home center
Scrapbooking paper
Foam brush
Mod Podge
Clear spraypaint
Felt or cork
Glue

Step 1:  Cut your scrapbooking paper to fit your tile square.  I cut my paper a little bit shy of my tile so the edge of my paper would not hang over.

Step 2: Spread some Mod Podge onto the tile

Step 3: Place your paper on top of your tile and press firmly down making sure the paper is straight and has no air bubbles.

Step 4: Apply another coat of Mod Podge onto the top of the paper to seal it and make it waterproof

Step 5: Take your coasters outside and spray them with several thin coats of clear spray paint.  This will help further seal them and give them a nice shine.

Step 6: Cut squares of felt or cork and attach with glue to the corners of the underside of your coasters to help protect your furniture.

Step 7:  Stack and tie them up with a cute ribbon and gift!
