This week I asked Shelley to share with you how she is doing. She is using an app to help her with her weight loss.
She really enjoys using myfitnesspal because it helps hold her accountable. The best thing about it is you can find almost any food, restaurant, or you can scan bar codes of products. This app has taught her to really look at what she is eating. She never really thought that much about calories. The first time she looked up what her favorite appetizer was worth she about fell out of her chair! She was consuming her daily recommended calories with an appetizer! This app has changed her life and the way she looks at what she is consuming. Another part of the app she really loves is the friend connection. You can friend people who feel up to the challenge and hold each other accountable, weigh in, and comment on each others progress. Myfitnesspal is extremely easy to use and has helped her lose 17 pound over the last 42 days. I love this app!!
I too am counting my calories however I won’t lie – I am writing them down in a notebook. I am on Day 9 and have lost 8 lbs so far! Sticking to my 1200 calorie diet and drinking water has really helped me. Also, exercising at least 3 times a week!
