Stockpile Sausage and Potatoes

  • 1 Hillshire Smoked Turkey Sausage (stockpile)
  • 1 can diced potatoes (stockpile)
  • 1 yellow pepper, diced
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  1. Cut sausage into ½ inch slices.
  2. In large bowl combine sausage, potatoes, yellow pepper, garlic, onion powder, black pepper and olive oil.
  3. Toss ingredients until coated with oil.
  4. Heat skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Pour bowl into skillet and cook for 7-9 minutes, stirring often.

    I have been making this for years! We add onions ( and on a “mom is tired night” we use a package of frozen cube style hash browns). My German grandmother always served this with sauerkraut, and that is still my favorite way to eat it!
