Lunchbox Tip – Freeze PBJ’s to Save You Time & Money

Lunchbox Tip - Freeze PBJ's to Save You Time & Money

I love this Lunchbox Tip  to Freeze PBJ’s to Save You Time & Money.  One of the best lunchbox tips that I can share with you is to prepare and freeze PBJ’s to save you time and money during the week. In my opinion this is the best DIY “Uncrustable”.

You get to make the decision what type of bread you will use as well as your peanut butter and jelly! I started doing this over the summer when we were packing lunches for on the go and it is a huge money and time saver.

On Sunday I make 10 PBJ’s and prepare them for the freezer.  I make an assembly line and then cut them in half and bag individually then I place the bags the freezer.  Now my son and husband have grab and go lunches and snacks for the week. I even make a few gluten free for me!

In the morning we place a frozen PBJ in the lunch bag and it doubles as a ice pack!  By lunchtime it is thawed and ready to be eaten.  This is a huge time saver for me!

Just found your blog through pinterest and I am loving all the ideas. I put peanut butter on both sides of the bread and Jelly in the middle to keep the jelly from making the bread gooy. Awesome idea to freeze some for go to lunches in a hurry.

Everything you freeze is in a freezer bag including the pj&js? JW if they are worth putting them in regular ziploc if they’ll be used quickly. Thanks for the ideas!

You can do any deli meat and cheese. I would not freeze mayo though. I normally add any condiments when it is time to eat.
