Do you have an Elf on the Shelf®?

Do you have an Elf on the Shelf? Both Shelley and I do and they have been a lot of fun. I have really enjoyed watching where “snowflake” Shelley’s Elf is every day!  Some people think they are “creepy” but we just think they are a lot of fun! What do you think?

Snowflake is Shelley’s Elf on the Shelf! Her son Chase says he is about 1,012 years old. He lives for shopping and always uses coupons!! If you don’t have one you can purchase one at

If you are not familiar The Elf on the Shelf is an activity the entire family will enjoy. Based on the tradition Carol Aebersold began with her family in the 1970s, this cleverly rhymed children’s book explains that Santa knows who is naughty and/or nice because he sends a scout elf to every home. During the holiday season, the elf watches children by day and reports to Santa each night.

When children awake, the elf has returned from the North Pole and can be found hiding in a different location. This activity allows The Elf on the Shelf to become a delightful hide-and-seek game. Each Tradition-in-a-Box™ comes with its very own scout elf, a hardbound children’s book and a keepsake box for easy storage. Check out this YouTube Video where I share the Elf on the Shelf tradition on the Nate & Melissa Show.

I don’t know about you but I personally love Elf on the Shelf – our elf is named Bob. I wish he could stay with us 365 days a year or at least do weekly check-in’s :-)
