If you have not heard of New Grains Gluten Free Bakery I am so excited to share it with you. I was recently contacted by New Grains and they asked if I would be willing to do a review. I am so glad I said YES. The bread and cookies are out of this gluten free world. With that being said, I mean that my gluten eating husband and son asked for seconds and thirds of the sour dough bread and cookies.
Their products are certified gluten free. This is personally very important to me. All of the products I tasted were amazing – no cardboard for sure! If you don’t have a store that sells New Grains you can also purchase them online.
I was sent 4 cookies (they are huge, moist and delicious). When I say huge I mean they took me several days to eat them and I suggest sharing. I am going to share my thoughts on each one. I also tried a loaf of Multigrain Bread and a loaf of sourdough bread.
4″ Sugar Cookie – Frosted with Sprinkles – Simply amazing, for those of you who live locally to me they are the best compared to a Busken Cookie (which is saying a lot). No aftertaste, simply delicious and if you are looking for special occasion treat or dessert this is IT.
Coconut Macaroon with Dark Chocolate Drizzle – Let me start by saying I am not a fan of coconut so I did try the cookie but I can’t give it a fair review. Instead my husband enjoyed it and he said it was great and that you would never know it was gluten free.
Brownie Chocolate Chip Cookie – This was really good. A moist cookie that had a nice taste. It was my least favorite of the three that I ate but if you like chocolate you will like this one too.
Pecan Carmel Bars – The BEST dessert that I have eaten since I became gluten free. My only wish is that I had found this product before Thanksgiving this year. I WILL be ordering it for next year. My gluten eating husband LOVED this product and said there is no way he would have ever known it didn’t contain gluten.
Sour Dough Bread – This was GREAT! My entire family enjoyed this one. It was delicious toasted with butter too. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
Multigrain Bread – This was a really moist bread and made a great sandwich. We really enjoyed it. It was not dry like other gluten free breads I have tried in the past and it was also a good size.
