Only 5 ingredients in this tasty beverage perfect for a cold winter day!

Crockpot Hot Cocoa is our favorite winter beverage.  There are only 5 ingredients needed and one of them is a can of sweetened condensed milk which I always seem to have in my stockpile.

Only 5 ingredients in this tasty beverage perfect for a cold winter day!

Over Christmas break we had some snow and the boys wanted to go out and play. So I decided this would be a perfect time to put Crockpot Hot Cocoa on. It only takes 2 hours on high to make and that is just enough time for me.

We like to top our Hot Cocoa with Homemade Whipped Cream!  What I love is that I know what ingredients are in this tasty hot cocoa!  Better tasting than the powder for sure!

Instructions

  1. In crockpot combine water, milk and vanilla.
  2. Add cocoa and salt, stir until smooth.
  3. Cook on high 2 hours or 4 hours on low.

Notes

It is ideal to use a 2.5 or 3 QT Crockpot.

i prefer to use milk rather than water in my hot chocolate. does the sweetened condensed milk and water compare to just using milk???

We got it at Kroger but they don’t make it any longer. You might try eBay.

Hey there! This looks yummy! Could you tell me about how much it makes? I’m trying to gather recipes for a work event I’m hosting and need enough for a small crowd.

    Thanks,
    Nikki

This makes a 3 quart crockpot full so that is is 12 cups. I would say 8-10 servings.
