Crockpot Series :: Does the size of your Crockpot matter?

Does the size of your Crockpot matter??? This is a common question I get all the time from my family and friends. Do you know the answer???

I love cooking with my crockpots. I have such a busy schedule with my three boys that it helps for me to plan my dinners according to what activities the boys have through the week. If I can use my crockpot to make dinner then that’s a huge plus for me!

So back to answering the question — Does the size matter? The answer is YES and NO. You want to use the crockpot that is going to be adequate for what you are cooking. For your meal to cook properly you need to make sure the crockpot you are using is at least 3/4 full with your ingredients or liquid. So if your preparing a side dish then you may want to use a smaller crockpot. If you are making a large roast with a lot of veggies then you may want something larger. But as long as you make sure it is 3/4 or more full then your meal should cook just right.
