I was asked to review the Maple & Brown Sugar variety of Eco-Planet’s 7 Whole Grains Hot Cereal, but I figured I’d ask my 8-year-old son to help me with this review. Prior to going gluten-free at our house, my son really loved instant oatmeal for breakfast, so he was excited to help me taste-test this gluten-free version! Eco-Planet’s Hot Cereal is gluten-free and dairy-free, organic, free from GMO’s, and contain more fiber, protein, and Omega-3′s than any other brand. They even make them in a dedicated gluten-free facility so if you are very sensitive to gluten, you should still be able to enjoy these.
The hot cereal is made like the regular, mainstream brands by either mixing it with hot water or heating it in the microwave. Visually, this looked like regular instant oatmeal and smelled really good. My son enjoyed this so much that I barely got to taste much of it. However, I also found it to taste much like the gluten-filled instant oatmeal we have had in the past but without the artificial flavoring aftertaste. My son finished it quickly and with a big grin on his face said, “Can I have some more?” Since we only had one packet, I promised to buy him some more soon.
Eco-Planet 7 Grain Hot Cereal can be purchased at these stores or ordered online through their website.
