Dr. Seuss’s birthday is on March 2nd! It is also National Read Across America Day, so make sure to go grab your child’s favorite book and have fun reading to them :-) Regardless if your favorite is the Grinch or Horton Hears a Who you are going to enjoy celebrating. In celebration of the amazing and wonderful Dr. Seuss’s birthday we have a put together a roundup of some great Dr. Seuss posts and recipes that you can make with your children on March 2nd.
We have a recipe for Grinch Cookies which is a big hit with kids of all ages! I had my boys help me make the cookies while we watched the movie The Grinch. Another wonderful recipe you can make with the children is Grinch Punch. I made this punch back at Christmas time for my family and everyone, young and old loved it! I had to make a second batch for everyone.
For the kids breakfast on March 2nd you can make Green Eggs and Ham and read the book afterwards. My boys love to read the book as I prepare it. So remember Dr. Seuss’s birthday is March 2nd and celebrate National Read Across America Day with your children! My boys also love making Dr. Seuss Fruit Stick which resembles his famous hat. Perfect to make for a snack to enjoy while reading books or watching a movie. My children love to watch the movie Dr. Seuss’s Cat in the Hat. Hearing their giggles as they watch this movie melts my heart. Have fun enjoying Dr.Seuss’s birthday!
