Closets are the #1 home area I am asked to help organize.
I am SO happy to be joining you each Friday to share my passion of organizing with you. Hi, my name is Lisa Woodruff and I blog over at Organize365. I am a professional organizer, author and speaker. You can learn more about the services I used to become a professional organizer here.
Today I am going to be sharing with you about closet organization.
I blog a lot about closets. Master closets, kids closets, project closets, pantries and more! You can see my whole list of posts here.
I LOVE organizing closets because you can organize almost any closet in one appointment. It is usually a dramatic change and one that stays organized long after I leave.
Here are some of my favorite closet organization tricks.
Closet Maid shoe organizers stack beautifully!
I got rid of my dresser and use the drawer organizers above for all my socks and undies.
My daughters closet just didn’t function well so I took all the wire shelving out.
We don’t have a lot of clothes in our home, so I decided to put up real closet rods on the left side…
and shelves on the right.
I love to use this belt hanger for camis.
I also put up shelving in a basement closet for a pantry!
Today I am going to give away this jewelry file. I LOVE it because it is two sided and holds a TON of jewelry!
This giveaway is open for US residents ages 18+. It ends on 2/18/13 at 9 am ET.

Right now they are hanging on a jewelry rack and on my clothes rack…gets so frustrating when they get tangled! I could definitely use this! Thanks for the chance!

I don’t! Please help! Lol
right now my jewelry is in a divided compartment drawer. Have multiple things in each compartment though since it is not large enough for everything.
thanks for the idea.

Currently my jewelry is in an old school jewelry box. The problem with that is it is all crammed in and I can NEVER find what I am looking for. At night I leave my day to day jewelry sitting on top of the closed box.

I have it in a jewelry box and some in a box my grandparents had given me many years ago when I was a little girl.

My necklaces are all hung from a bra hanger on my bedroom mirror. Not very nice to look at!

My jewelery was on a hanger but the necklaces tangle on it when my cat decides to try to play with them. I’d love an organizer to help keep my jewelery tidy and away from kitty paws!

My jewelry is piled up in my too-small jewelry box. Ugh!
I use tackle boxes, all the little adjustable compartments makes storing individual pieces or sets together easy. I have a red one for all my pinks, reds, oranges, peach and coral colors. A blue one for all my teal, royal blue, light blue, navy and turquoise colors. Black for all of the black, gray, clear, white and translucent…you get the picture and they are all totally portable and when you open them up you don’t have to worry about them being a jumbled mess, AND they stack wonderfully! Each one is approximately 1 ft by 1.5 ft and 2-3 inches tall. They slide right in a drawer or onto a shelf and make finding things that match sooo much easier.
