Kroger Easter Basket Ideas

If you are like me you are preparing for the Easter Bunny.  I decided to head to Kroger and see what I could find that was affordable in terms of filling up the Easter Basket.  I was looking for inexpensive ideas and for non candy ideas not to mention those that matched up with coupons!

Easter Basket Ideas at Kroger

Does your Kroger have a $1.00 bin?  I had NO idea that our new Kroger in Independence had one!  I was literally jumping up and down when I saw it!  There was a bin full of really cool toys including dinosaur, sharks and reptiles.  This bin would be HUGE hit with my son.  There were some cute make-up bags and other items that would be great for Easter Baskets too.  As you can see they are priced $10/$10 but you don’t have to purchase 10 to get the $1.00 price. (This bin was over by the clothing and H&B area).

No Easter Basket is complete without a cute stuffed animal.  However we have so many stuffed animals at our house that I have to say NO more!  If you want to add a cute and small stuffed animal this cute little lamb was only $3.99 and good quality too!  I found Sidewalk Chalk for only $3.00 and Thomas Dinnerware for $4.49 and up!

Two sweet deals matched with coupons included Kids Suave Body Wash (with the Muppet’s on it) for only $1.99 – $1/1 Suave Kids Body Wash Product, exp. 4/6/14 (RP 03/09/14 R) which makes it only $.99!  M&M’s for $1.00 – $1/2 Mars Easter Products, exp. 4/20/14 (RP 03/23/14 R) for $.49 each!  Be sure to strategically use those coupons to fill the Easter Basket!

Some other affordable ideas included Silly Putty, $1.49, Cotton Candy, $1.00, LEGO City, $6.99, Easter Pez, $1.49, Monster Trucks, $3.11 and LEGO figures, $2.99.  All of these toys are small and easy to fit into an Easter Basket and didn’t cost a fortune either!

For some really affordable ideas I found individual play-doh for $.99 a canand Hot Wheels for $.80 each.  Another great deal matched with coupon was the Reese’s Eggs, Buy 2 Get 1 Free ($1.00) matched with Save $1.00 off three any Reese’s coupon ($1/3 Reese’s Product, exp. 4/20/14 (SS 02/23/14 R) with a final price of $1.00/3!  I also really like the Britta Water Bottles on sale for $6.99 - $2/1 Brita On the Go Bottle, exp. 5/31/14 (SS 04/06/14)  coupon for a final price of $4.99.  There were some larger sizes too that match with the $3/1 Ibotta coupon too!

Beach Fun Easter Basket

Finally I thought about a fun theme for your Easter Basket.  If you wanted to create a Beach Fun Easter Basket you could easily create one at Kroger!  I found a Sand Bucket for $1.99 that you could use as the Easter Basket.  Inside you could put a new pair of flip flops, $2.99, a Swim Shirt $12.99, Inflatables, $1.99, a plastic cup with built in straw, $1.19 and I also found affordable kites and bubbles that would make a great addition!

I hope these ides help you in planning for your kids Easter Baskets!  Be sure to visit our Kroger Matchup for more ways to save at Kroger.
