We are really trying to eat healthy this summer. We are starting our day off with a healthy breakfast and we are eating lower fat healthier and more nutritious choices for our snacks.
- DOLE Fruit in Jars, Tropical Fruit (drained)
- 1 Scoop of your favorite Vanilla Greek Yogurt
- 1 spoonful of toasted coconut
- optional - 1 tsp honey
- Layer tropical fruit over Vanilla Greek Yogurt
- Top with toasted coconut
- Optional: Add 1 tsp honey over yogurt before you add fruit
- To Toast Coconut place in oven on cookie sheet for 2 minutes on 300 degree oven.
5 Days of Food and Fitness Tips:
Monday: Get moving Monday – Start the week off right with a walk. Get the whole family involved and it will be a way to spend time together! Start off with a 20 minute walk and build up.
Tuesday: Get Toned Tuesday – Do some resistance training today. Work on doing crunches and have the kids count for you. Get them involved so it is a family affair.
Wednesday: Horray for Hump Day – You are half way there! Try a family bike ride tonight. It is a great workout and family time.
Thursday: Make it Thursday FunDay – Create an obstacle course, play Lawn Twister, Frisbee Golf or Flag Football. Just be sure you do it together and that you are moving and having fun!
Friday: TGIF – Just because it is Friday doesn’t mean you have to fall of the wagon. Treat yourself with a delicious Fruit and Yogurt parfait for dessert tonight. Add a few mini chocolate chips and it will feel like a true dessert without sacrificing your weeks success!
