Easy 3 Ingredient Banana Bread that tastes delicious and is so simple to prepare!

This quick recipe for Easy 3 Ingredient Banana Bread is delicious!  I could not believe how good it was with such simple ingredients. All you need is 3-4 ripe bananas, eggs and a box of cake mix. Yes, you can make great tasting banana bread with a box of your favorite cake mix.  Last week I had some bananas that were getting ripe and I needed to use them up so I decided try this easy recipe.

Easy 3 Ingredient Banana Bread that tastes delicious and is so simple to prepare!

This Easy 3 Ingredient Banana Bread is moist and delicious. I had everything I needed to make it in my kitchen. So I got busy mixing all the ingredients together.  Simply mash the bananas in a large bowl, then add remaining ingredients and mix well. Spray 2 small loaf pans or 1 large loaf pan with non-stick cooking spray and divide the batter and pour into two loaf pans. Next I topped one of the loaves with mini chocolate chips. I love chocolate chips on everything, well almost everything so I decided to add them to one loaf. Next, I put them in the oven and baked at for 35-40 minutes at 350 degrees.  You might need to bake a little longer if using 1 loaf pan.

Easy 3 Ingredient Banana Bread that tastes delicious and is so simple to prepare!

Best of all you can easily make this gluten free when you use a gluten free cake mix or you can use a sugar free cake mix!  Without the additional oil this is actually a lower fat version of traditional banana bread.  Some readers thin it has a bit of cake texture but my family thought it was great.  I like to keep yellow cake mix on hand and make this when I have surprise company visit.  It is also nice to be able to make when I have over ripened bananas on hand. Another great tip is to use a spice cake mix.  Our readers tell us that makes an amazing loaf of bread!

I do love this delicious warm banana bread right off the of the cooling rack.  If you have extra simply store in an airtight container.  It makes great housewarming gifts too!

I just took two pans out of the oven. Just 2 eggs, cake mix and I used 4 bananas. It more of a cake then bread. I actually added some fresh blueberries to one of the loafs.

A better substitute would be 9-inch square cake pan (1½ inches deep) or (2) 8-inch round cake pans

I made these as muffins and baked for 27 minutes in a 350 preheated oven. After lining the muffin tin with liners, I filled it about halfway with the batter, sprinkled a mixture of butter, cinnamon, sugar and flour that I mixed to the consistency of wet sand, then filled the muffin tin with the batter and sprinkled more of the butter cinnamon mixture on top. The muffins came our flavorful and moist with a nice, crunchy muffin top. Hubby loves them. Says I should go into the muffin business. Thanks for this easy recipe.

This is a very versatile recipe I feel. That’s the type I like. I made it with peanut butter chips. Who doesn’t like peanut butter and banana. It was Elvis Presley favorite! I also added the walnuts. I have to put nuts in most of my breads accept the lemon poppy seed. I baked it in a bundt cake pan for the time that was stated. I added a cream cheese glaze to the top of it and it is amazing.

I made mini muffins. I added walnuts that I cut really fine (kids claim they don’t like nuts) so that they added a little protein. Baked them for 12-14 minutes and they were done. I got 48 mini muffins from the one batch! We love them!

Reduce baking powder: for each teaspoon, decrease 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon.
Reduce sugar: for each cup, decrease 0 to 2 tablespoons.
Increase liquid: for each cup, add 2 to 4 tablespoons.
Increase oven temperature by 25 degrees F.

I used super moist butter pecan mix. Added an extra banana (4 total) an extra egg (3 total) and 8Tbsp of water. I hand mixed the batter. It is very important at high altitude to not over mix. And I baked for 45 mins at 375° in a bundt pan. It turned out amazing! Thank you for the recipe. I will never make banana bread any other way!
