I was thinking with no liquids it may be a little dry, but the juices from the pork and honey give it all that it needs. I know the next time that pork loins are on sale at the store, I will be stockpiling them in my freezer for future recipes of this on my menu plan.
This is true dump and go slow cooker recipe. Place pork loin in crockpot. Sprinkle brown sugar all over, then add honey. Next season with salt and pepper if desired. Place lid on and cook on low 8-10 hours. That is it! So simple.
I was able to put everything in the crockpot in less than ten minutes and left for the day. I had a busy day of errands and activities for the kids. I was gone over ten hours and this pork was deliciousness. I was a little worried when I was out for the day that the pork loin would be tough, but it was just perfect. My husband used the leftovers the next day on a sandwich, he shredded the pork and added a slice on cheese on top and melted it.
To make this recipe as an Easy Freezer Slow Cooker Supper – add all ingredients to a labeled ziploc bag with directions and date on it. Place in freezer. When ready to cook, place bag in fridge overnight to thaw. In morning place all contents inside the bag into the slow cooker and cook.
