This flavorful, easy Slow Cooker Southern Roast Recipe will quickly become a family favorite! It is so simple to prepare with only four ingredients and the best part to me is that it cooks for 10 hours. I love crockpot recipes that take at least 10 hours, so I can be gone all day and not worry that it is getting overcooked or dried out. So be sure to try this recipe if you have a long work day or a day of errands or activities planned.
To prepare this southern roast just place the roast in the slow cooker. As a tip from me I always buy the largest chuck roast I can find at the store so I can use the left over meat in Homemade Vegetable Soup and Leftover Roast Soup (recipe coming soon!). Next sprinkle a packet of ranch seasoning and au jus mix over the roast. Place 5-6 pepperconi’s on the roast and a stick of butter. Place the lid on the slow cooker and let it cook all day. Once dinner time comes around just pull out the roast and serve. Be sure to try Slow Cooker Southern Roast Recipe soon, you will not be disappointed at all!
