This is a simple dump and go recipe. All you need is 2 cans of red beans, 2 cans of great Northern beans, 2 cans of kidney beans, 2 packets of chili mix, 1 lb of ground beef and 1/2 cup water. It is so so simple to make. Add all the ingredients to slow cooker and mix. Place lid on top and cook on low 6-8 hours. Stir and enjoy!
I like to serve beans to my family at least once a week. It is a good way to stretch the family budget. In fact I think you could even do less ground beef and another can of beans and no one would miss the extra ground beef. Another great way to save money from the budget! I like to serve this yummy soup with homemade corn bread or a nice crusty French loaf. You can also serve with crackers or as is. I like a spoon of sour cream on top.
