Crockpot Apples and Porkchops is one of the easiest recipes to make. This crockpot recipe is perfect if you are in a rush in the morning and need something quick to throw in the crockpot and go.

Only 6 ingredients in this flavorful Crockpot Apples and Porkchops dinner!

This yummy meal reminds me of the meals my Mamaw use to make for me as a little girl. She would pick the best apples and let me help her in the kitchen peeling and slicing them. It amazes me how when I make certain dishes they bring back such vivid memories.

To prep heat your skillet over medium high heat. Add butter and once melted add pork chops. Cook each side 5-6 minutes until golden brown. While cooking pork chops, peel apples and cube them. Put the apples in a large bowl and toss with brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Pour coated apples into crockpot. Place pork chops on top. Put lid on crockpot and cook on low 6-7 hours.
You do not HAVE to sear your pork chops before you add them to the slow cooker however if you like them to have that texture it is important to do that step.

With only 6 ingredients in this flavorful Crockpot Apples and Porkchops dinner you are literally going to fall in love with this recipe!  In fact when I think of apples I think of fall.  So this is a great recipe for a cold fall day.  I like to serve this with Sour Cream Rolls and Squash Casserole.  I hope your family enjoys Crockpot Apples and Pork Chops as much as my family does!

Wondering how thin or thick a pork chop I could use.. I think mine might be 1/4 in thickness. Would I do less time?

Making this tonight! Can't wait to try it! Question though-- can I skip the part when you brown the pork chops? I was just going to put the pork right in the slow cooker.

I made these tonight and they were delicious! I used bone in pork chops instead (about 3/4 of an inch thick), added onions (which I browned in the skillet after I browned the pork chops) and I slightly cooked the apple mixture in the skillet following the onions. I then added 2 cups of chicken broth with 2 tablespoons of corn starch to the crockpot to make a gravy. Total crock pot time was 2 1/2 hours. I served over mashed potatoes. Yum yum!

This was Heaven! I followed this to an extent tweaked it a little to suit me. I baked the apples for about 20 mins at 350 then seared the chops and put them on top of the apples and baked them About 10-15 Mins longer. Served with green beans and mashed potatoes. It could even do without the potatoes. It's the best meal i have made in a while! I will definitely be making this again!

One word: delish! I changed a couple items: I do not peel the apples - the skin is the healthiest part and it cooks down in the crockpot. I also add a beer I have on hand - for the fall/winter a Christmas Ale is perfect with the cinnamon and nutmeg flavors. Serve over mashed potatoes and you have a perfect weeknight meal. Thanks!

The recipe sounds good, but to me didn't seem to have enough liquid and the addition of the beer sounds good. I can't wait to try!

Do the pork chops have to be defrosted or can I put frozen ones in? I am dying to try this recipe for tonight but all I have right now are frozen chops.

I also cubed some sweet potatoes as I only had 3 large apples and topped with browned boneless pork loin chops. This will be perfect for dinner. Thanks for the idea!

I made this, and put a little chicken broth in as the liquid. It was way too bland. Maybe cider would have been better. I ended up draining out the broth, mixing it with orange and cranberry juices (all I had) and reducing it by about 1/2. Then added cornstarch to make it thicker and mixing it back in. I also fork shredded the meat. Also, because the apples cooked to mush, I sliced up two more apples. Served it over Spaetzle. I layered the spaetzli, then raw apples, then pork with cooked apples. It was ok, but felt like it was missing something. I couldn't figure out what it was. my picky child loved it, so I will play with it more next time. Maybe cook the meat with cider and leave the apples out until the end.

Do you think you could make this in to a freezer meal? How would you suggest doing that? Obviously not brown the meat first, but would I be able to peel and chop apples and put that in a freezer bag with chops with all the seasoning?

Making this tonight in the Ninja, High pressure, for 20 minutes with 1 cup of chicken broth. Natural release for 1 hour (a trick learned I learned when the grand kids stayed almost an hour longer than we’d planned: the most moist, tender pork we’ve ever had!)
