Crockpot Chuck Roast Recipe is an easy freezer meal the whole family will love.

This Crockpot Chuck Roast is one of my families favorite meal. This recipe is sure to please all the "men" in your life because it is so hearty and filling. I like to serve this with green beans and stove top stuffing.  This easy recipe is a true comfort food for me.   This Crockpot Chuck Roast is fork tender when it comes out of the slow cooker.  With only 4 ingredients you will not believe how easy this is to make.  The secret is the Italian seasoning packet!

Simply place the potatoes and onions in bottom of Crockpot.  Next add your Chuck Roast on top of potatoes and onions.  Finally sprinkle Italian seasoning over Chuck Roast.  Then cover with lid and cook on low for 8 hours.  If it goes longer that is no concern.  I find the longer it cooks the more tender it is. Be sure to cut your potatoes in large chunks if it is going to go larger.  Sometimes I add carrots too.

You can also easily turn this into a freezer meal. Simply add all of the ingredients to a gallon size zip loc bag and freeze.  When you are ready to cook simply thaw in the refrigerator overnight and place into your slow cooker.  Cook on low for 6-8 hours on low.  This makes for an easy slow cooker freezer meal that the whole family will love.

This Crockpot Chuck Roast recipe can also be prepared and frozen if you have leftovers.  It is also delicious when shredded and served on a bun.  I like to add a little BBQ sauce when I have leftovers for the 2nd night and my family doesn't feel like they are eating leftovers that way. Another great way to use the leftovers is to make this delicious homemade vegetable soup with the leftover roast.   I often times do this when I have a large roast and don't eat it all.

Where is the liquid in this dish? We need some gravy to go with it!

What type of Italian seasoning packet do you use? Is this from the Italian salad dressing? Or will
there be something in the spice aisle at my grocery store?

Dry packet - normally in the salad dressing aisle.
