Only 4 ingredients in this great southern comfort food! Crockpot Ham and Beans is perfect with cornbread!

Crockpot Ham and Beans is a great comfort meal! I love that you can throw all the ingredients in the crockpot and go. Did I mention there is only 4 ingredients??? How much simpler can you get than that!  This is a true southern recipe.  I grew up eating crockpot ham and beans that my Granny would cook.  She would always save her ham bone at Christmas and Easter to use when she would cook her beans.   You can save them in the freezer until you are ready to use.  Another tip is you can often purchase them from the butcher for very little too.

All you need to make this tasty slow cooker meal is dried northern beans, ham, onion powder and water.  I served ours with Sugar Cornbread and it was superb! I like ketchup, pickle relish and chopped onions on the side.  Be sure to put this delicious and easy dinner meal on your next menu. You will not be disappointed!

Only 4 ingredients in this great southern comfort food! Crockpot Ham and Beans is perfect with cornbread!

To prepare be sure to rinse and sort the beans for any pebbles (yes, you really need to look for pebbles). Add the the rinsed beans, onion powder, salt, pepper, and ham to the crockpot and add water. Cover and cook on low about 8 hours, or until the beans are tender. Remove ham bone, shanks or hocks and pull off the meat. Add meat to the crock pot and stir. Serve and enjoy!

I hope you enjoy this easy Crockpot Ham and Beans recipe!  It is sure to be a family favorite recipe once you try it!  It is one of our favorites for sure!

I’d love you forever if you could tell me how long to put this in for a pressure cooker. 😘
