This week we are enjoying Crockpot Soups and Stews. Fall is here and we love to use our crockpots to help save time in the kitchen! Although here in Northern Kentucky is doesn’t feel much like Fall, but I am ready for all things Fall and Pumpkin. Please enjoy our menu planning ideas we have organized for you. We like to menu plan because it keeps us from worrying about what is “for dinner” every night when feeding our families. It also a great way to keep our food budget in line when it comes to dining out. When you menu plan it is important to include a family favorite dinner recipe weekly (and a leftovers or dining out night if you desire). We also like to include a “brinner” recipe as a back up on those crazy busy days, when things may not go your way. “Brinner” is a term we use for having breakfast foods at dinner time.
We try to make frugal menu plans to keep within our monthly budgets. A helpful tip is to plan meals from your stockpile! Here is a how to get started Menu Planning Monthly.
Crockpot Soup and Stews Weekly Menu Plan:
Monday – Slow Cooker Beef & Tomato Macaroni Soup served with crackers and a side salad
Saturday – Paula Deen’s Crockpot Potato Soup served with crumbled bacon, green onions and shredded cheese
