This is my go to for any roast when I am in a crunch or do not have many ingredients in my pantry. I know I will always have butter, salt and pepper on hand. All you need to do is put the roast in the bottom of the slow cooker. Season with salt and pepper well. Next place a stick of butter on top, place the lid on and let it slowly cook all day.

- 3-4 lb beef roast trimmed
- 1 stick of butter or margarine
- salt and pepper to season
- Place roast in crockpot.
- Season well with salt and pepper.
- Place butter on top of roast.
- Cover with lid and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
- remove roast from slow cooker and shred.
- Serve and enjoy!
