If you are looking for a great gift idea this year for Christmas you may want to consider giving a gift basket. I love to create unique themed baskets to give during the holidays and for special occasions like birthdays, anniversaries and house warming gifts. I personally also love to receive them too! It is also a great way to stretch your stockpile. This year I came up with three gift ideas that I wanted to share with you. Each is a gift basket but there is no basket involved. You can think outside the box when it comes to gift baskets and use alternative items to create the “basket” for gift giving.
Gift Basket Ideas that are perfect for Christmas
Bath Themed Gift Basket:
For the first gift basket I created a Bath Themed Gift. The gift of relaxation, heath and wellness is the best gift you can give anyone! I picked up this metal tub to use as my container. Next I added Village Natural Therapy bath salts, bath gel and bubble bath that I picked up from Walmart. I also picked up a few bath items to fill up the basket and add three of my favorite essential oils. A tip in wrapping is to add a bath brush or something bath related with a handle to the center of the basket. Then when you cover it with cellophane wrap you have something to hold your bath ball and it won’t “droop” over. This is a great gift idea for any man or woman on your list! I chose this for my BIL. He is going to love it! I used paper filler and then just stacked everything in and wrapped with cellophane and tied with the bath ball. I choose manly colors of grey, blue and green.
Movie Night Gift Basket:
For my second gift basket I decided to create a movie night gift basket. This is perfect for the movie fanatic on your list. I used a bucket that you can pick up at the Dollar Store. I actually ordered mine from K&K Vinyl. I loved the way it turned out! I filled it with Blu-Ray DVD’s that I picked up on Black Friday, Plastic Popcorn containers that I got at the $1 bin at Target and boxed candy that I picked up for $1 at the Dollar Store. I put tissue paper in the bottom and then filled with shredded paper filler. I stacked in the movies, candy and containers and then wrapped with cellophane and tied with a bow. I hope that my other BIL loves this gift! This would be a great Father’s Day Gift Idea too!
Room Makeover Gift Basket:
Finally I created a Room Makeover Gift Basket for my niece. She is getting a new bed and other accessories for her room this year for Christmas. Peyton and I were shopping at the Family Dollar when he spotted this super cute trash can for only $8. We decided to get it for my niece but instead of giving it to her empty we turned it into a room makeover gift basket. We added scented bath wash, body spray, shampoo and conditioner! She is going to love it! This is the perfect teen gift for Christmas, Birthday or Graduation gift! You can turn a simple garbage can into a gift basket by filling it with items that the teen would like or can use in the dorm or new room. I can’t wait to see her enjoy it!
So this is just three gift gift basket ideas. Do you have any themed gift basket ideas? We would love to hear them!
