This Halloween Craft is so easy to make and costs very little!  The Paper Hanging Bat is a fun craft that your kids will enjoying making for Halloween.

    Halloween Craft Paper Hanging Bat

It is so easy that even your little ones can join in on the fun.  Perfect for decorating your house for Halloween or for a Halloween Party. You could also make this with a group of kids at a preschool, play group or with friends.  Most all of the supplies will be in your craft supply closet or you can pick them up at the local Dollar Store. The only thing I had to purchase was the metal brads.

    Paper Hanging Bat:

    Supplies:

    • Black Construction Paper
    • Yarn
    • Hole Punch
    • Metal Brads
    • Eyes (squiggly or sequins)
    • Scissors
    • Glue or Glue Dots

For this project I suggest tracing out 2 wings and 1 body per child on black construction paper.  Allow them to cut out the pieces or help them cut out.  Punch a whole at then end (tail) of the bat and attach a piece of yarn for hanging.  Punch 2 holes in wings and 1 whole in body and attach with metal brad's.  Cut a piece of yard and attach through the 2nd hole in the wings.  Attach eyes with glue.

You can see the back of the bat here to see how it was attached with the metal brads. If you are making this craft at a Halloween Party you may want to already have the parts cut out to save time. Depending on the ages that you are working with I would suggest that you consider having assistants to help with the moving parts of the bat.  I hope you enjoy this easy Halloween Craft, Paper Hanging Bat project.  It is affordable and super easy to make plus it doubles as a fun decoration for Halloween.  If you have a tiny budget this is a nice project for you to consider.
