Homemade Hot Cocoa is so easy to make with Only 2 Ingredients! Here in Kentucky we have had some colder weather come back and my kids wanted some hot chocolate. So I wanted to make some that was a bit healthier for them than the packets. So I started heating up milk and added some mini chocolate chips to it. It was so good and my kids want me to make it this way from now on!
All you need is milk and chocolate chips to make this yummy Homemade Hot Cocoa. I used Almond Milk because my youngest son can not have regular milk due to allergies, but you can still use regular milk as well. I poured the milk in a huge pot and slowly heated it up. I then stirred in about a 2/3 cup of chocolate chips. I kept stirring so it would not burn. Once the chips had melted and thoroughly mixed with the milk I scooped out into mugs. It is so simple and only took about 5 – 10 minutes from start to finish.
Homemade Hot Cocoa - Only 2 Ingredients
- 1/2 gallon milk any kind
- 1/2 - 2/3 cup chocolate chip use desired amount to get the taste you want
- In a large pot; pour milk in and heat over low-med heat.
- Next stir in chocolate chips; keep stirring to prevent burning.
- Once thoroughly mixed and heated serve in mugs.
