This is a great tip for when you have extra cake and for icing a cake too! Often times I find myself with an extra cake. This is a great money saving tip. It is also a tip for how to frost the perfect cake!
How To Freeze Unfrosted Cakes:
Before you frost your cake, you may wrap it tightly and freeze it for up to six weeks before frosting and then eating. It's best to thaw unfrosted cakes unwrapped at room temperature and then frost. This is a tip that many seasoned cake decorators actually use and was shared with my by my friend Doris years and years ago. I hope this helps you decorate cakes like a pro too!
You can also make your own Homemade Whipped Cream Cheese Icing.
