I love to host Mexican Fiestas! It is an affordable party theme and always a lot of fun! You can utilize your crock pot and pick up inexpensive cuts of meat on managers special to really help keep your budget in check. In fact you can easily stretch your budget with rice and black beans. Another idea is to host a pot luck and you provide the meat and tortillas and ask friends and family to bring side dishes.
Mexican Fiesta Party Ideas
You can also host a create your own Nacho or Taco bar which is really affordable! I love to use either the Crockpot Mexican Chicken or the Slow Cooker Pork Carnitas because it takes the work out of the prep for me. Be sure to make plenty of Homemade Guacamole and buy salsa and chips. You can always pick up Mexican Coke and Sodas at the grocery store. Once I have the crock pot going I am free to get ready for the party and then enjoy it.
A Mexican Blanket can be used as a tablecloth. If you don't have a Mexican Blanket or can't borrow one from someone you can pick up bright solid colors disposable table cloths at the Dollar Store. I like to use plastic ware and paper goods too to save on cleanup. You can roll your plastic wear in the napkins and tie with a ribbon.
I like to decorate with Sombrero, a Pinata, Paper Flowers and Musical Instruments too! You can choose to decorate using the Mexican Flag colors (Red, Green and White) as another idea.
Pinata - Purchase one inexpensively at the store ($14.99) and fill with candy and small toys or make your own.
Mexican Hat Dance - So much fun! If you have never danced it before it is a must!
Noise Makers - Make your own DIY Noise Maker or Maracas!
Mexican Music - You can download online or check out at your local library. Play Musical Chairs, Have a Dance Party or just enjoy!
We hope that you enjoy these Mexican Fiesta Party Ideas. Please share any that you may have!
