I thought this Mini Greenhouse made with Egglands Best Carton was very cool since all we eat are Eggland’s Best Eggs! There are always coupons out for them and they are awesome! I came across this mini article in Eggland’s Best Eggs’ Newsletter! I thought it was so interesting I needed to pass it on! What an “eggselent” idea!! This would be a great activity to do with your children or if you are a teacher, it would be great for a class! Here are the details from Eggland’s!
Mini Greenhouse made with Egglands Best Carton:
To make a mini greenhouse, cut off the top of an Eggland’s Best cage free or organic plastic carton. Take a safety pin and poke a hole in each of the 12 egg shapes (this is where the water will go up to the roots). Put the top underneath the egg carton, and fill with soil and seeds. Then water, and use the old top (now the bottom) as a reserve. The perfect egg carton greenhouse! The plastic water reserve on the bottom of the carton keeps roots growing down, making for happier transplants when it’s time to head outside.

hey—-actually, I posted that idea on my blog last year, and it’s taken verbatim from the copy I wrote: http://growindie.com/2009/03/07/diy-mini-greenhouse/
Not sure who Ed Bond is, but wanted to set the record straight!

Robyn,
I got this from an Egglands newsletter! The newsletter said if you used the idea to give the credit to Ed Bond. I would contact Eggland’s if I were you! I appreciate the comment!
