This flavorful, easy Slow Cooker Southern Roast Recipe will quickly become a family favorite! I love crockpot recipes that take at least 10 hours, so I can be gone all day and not worry that it is getting overcooked or dried out. To prepare this southern roast just place the roast in the slow cooker. Next sprinkle a packet of dry ranch seasoning and an au jus packet mix over the roast. Place 5-6 pepperconi's on top of the roast and an entire stick of butter. Place the lid on the slow cooker and let it cook all day. Once dinner time comes around just pull out the roast and serve. As a tip from me I always buy the largest chuck roast I can find at the store so I can use the left over meat in Homemade Vegetable Soup.

- 3-5 lb chuck roast
- 1 packet of Ranch Seasoning mix or homemade mix
- 1 packet of au jus mix
- 5-6 peperoncino peppers
- 1 stick of butter 1/2 cup
- Place the roast in a 6QT slow cooker.
- Sprinkle both packets of mix on top of roast.
- Place peperoncino on top of roast along with the stick of butter.
- Place lid on slow cooker and set to low for 10 hours.
- Remove roast and serve.
