Do you have a childhood memory of going to the drive in with your family??? I do and wanted my kids to experience same thing every summer. Last year we had visited Starlite Drive In for some family fun on a Saturday night. This year we went and saw Cars 3 as the first showing with Pirates of the Caribbean - Dead Men Tell No Tales as the second showing. We had a blast and seeing Cars 3 on the big screen was "so cool" as my 7 and 13 year old said!
Starlite Drive In is located in Amelia Ohio and has been open since 1947 and is celebrating 40 years this year! I use to go as a little girl and it brings back such fun memories for me and my husband. We pack food and drinks, we pay a $5 food permit to do this. On the back of the food permit you get a $1 off coupon for popcorn. It helps cut down on the cost of food inside, but we do still take the boys in to get popcorn and snack items.
My hubby and I think the pricing is great for being able to see 2 movies. Ticket prices are $8.75 for anyone 12 and older, $5.25 children 4-11, Under 3 is free and Seniors (60+) and Active Military is only $7.50. If you want to get an even better deal, every Tuesday is Carload Night which costs $22.75, max of 6 people but if you do have 6 then it's only $3.80 a person! We like to bring cards and games to play while we wait for the movie to start. We get there early to get a good spot for viewing.
Starlite Drive In is open every day of the week except Mondays, so be sure to go check them out this summer! Everyone is bound to have fun and a memory to last a lifetime.
