Way Better Snacks :: Sprouted Tortilla Chips are Gluten Free

Way Better Snacks are Sprouted Tortilla Chips and are Gluten Free.  I was first introduced to Way Better Snacks when I attended the Gluten and Allergen Free Expo in Chicago in April.  My friend Denise and I were busy with the Stockpiling Moms booth and we didn't have anything to eat for lunch.  I met the vendor for Way Better Snacks and she fixed us a plate full of chips and she told us whichever one we liked best she would give us each a full size bag to take home.

Thinking that it may be another "cardboard tasting" snack food we really didn't give much thought and each put a chip in our mouth (we were starving).  OMG - this was not just a snack!  It was WAY BETTER!  We literally gobbled up our plate of Way Better tortilla chips and immediately headed back for a refill and of course to claim our full sized bag (you know I like a freebie ;-). My personal favorite - Sweet Potato and Denise's personal favorite - Sweet Chili.

At that time I will be honest with you I had NO idea what the chips were about.  I just knew they tasted GOOD and that they were gluten free.  A win/win if you ask me.  The vendor shared with me a little bit about the benefits of sprouting and we went on our way.  Busy all day I won't lie, that night,  I dreamed of Way Better chips.  The next day at the event Denise and I "sampled" again and then I hopped on a plane home with my full size bag of Sweet Potato Chips in my carry on (couldn't risk they got crushed :-).

A day or two later I will confess - I ate the entire bag of Way Better Sweet Potato Chips - MYSELF!  I did not share one single chip with anyone...why?  Because they are gluten free and delicious! 🙂  I asked my friend Sarah to pick up a bag for me on her next trip to Whole Foods and the rest is history - I am addicted 🙂

Way Better Snacks come in 6 varieties and as I mentioned if I have to pick a favorite it would be Sweet Potato however I am also a big fan of Sweet Chili and Sunny Multi-Grain.  Well in reality I kind of like them all.

    • Simply Sweet Potato
    • Simply Unbeatable Blues
    • Simply So Sweet Chili
    • Naked No Salt Blues
    • Simply Sunny Multi-Grain
    • Simply Beyond Black Bean

    The products are:

    • Certified gluten free
    • Sprouted - If you were like me, huh?  What does that mean (see more below)
    • Non-GMO Project Verified
    • Vegan
    • Certified Kosher

What I really love is that you can pronounce ALL of the ingredients on the label!  The chips are healthy for you because they contain flax seeds, quinoa, radish seeds, chia seeds, broccoli seeds, non GMO corn, brown rice and black beans. The best part is that they are sprouted!  As an added bonus (especially for anyone with Celiac Disease) the sprouting process increases digestion!  Nutrients can be increased through the process of germination and digestion so the chip has a lot of bonus if you ask me besides just being tasty.

    • Every serving in them has an amazing amount (between  190 – 420mg) of healthy Omega 3 essential fatty acids
    • Way Better Broccoli and Radish seeds contain sulphoraphane glucosinolate, the natural antioxidant found in broccoli (that is good for you)
    • Each serving of Way Better chips contain 17 grams of whole grains

If you are looking for a healthy snack regardless if you are gluten free or not you should consider Way Better Snacks. I think they are priced reasonably too. They are truly WAY BETTER. I love that they are Non GMO project verified, gluten free and delicious.

If you were an attendee at the Saving Saving Conference you had the opportunity to try Way Better Snacks in your swag bag - please us know what you thought! If you have tried them in the past let us know that and if you would LIKE to try them...hint, hint...we "might" just have a giveaway soon 🙂 Be sure to comment and let us know!
