I am excited to share with you that I just completed my 2nd Whole 30! I shared with you my first round of Whole 30 success and now I am sharing with you that round 2 was just as fantastic! First of all I had NO cravings this round. Since there were only 6 days between my 2 rounds I didn’t go crazy or off plan. I did test rice which no reaction (yay) and I ate a little dairy with a HUGE reaction. I thought going into this that dairy was a huge issue for me and I was correct. So no more dairy for Melissa. In the future I will stick to almond milk or coconut milk when I want dairy.
In this round I lost 4 lbs however I went down another size in my pants! I lost a total of 5 inches in this round! Woo Hoo! Also, something exciting – people are starting to notice. I have gotten complements lately from many of my friends and my husband has really noticed. There have also been some additional changes in my life. I started working out! WHAT? It is true! I actually started wearing my fit bit again at the end of the last round but in addition to walking more I joined Curves. This is a HUGE change for me because in general I am not a fan of working out. However so far I am really enjoying it!
I didn’t keep a food journal this time because I ate pretty similarly to last round. I had no cravings this time and on Day 31 I had no desire to eat anything that wasn’t Whole 30 complaint so instead of going off I just cruised right on into a Whole 60! I am loving how I feel and I didn’t want to go back to my old ways of eating. That tells me that this is a life change not a temporary “diet”.

So what is next for me? I will continue on my Whole 30 – turned Whole 60 journey. Continue working out and see where I am in another 30 days.
