Slow Cooker Winter Squash and Apples

Ingredients

  • 1 butternut squash 1 lb
  • 2 apples peeled, cored and sliced
  • salt/pepper - optional
  • 1/4 cup olive oil or Ghee
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce no sugar added

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a zip loc bag.
  2. Freeze
  3. When ready to prepare thaw in the refrigerator overnight.
  4. Place into the slow cooker and cook on low for 4-6 hours
  5. Salt and pepper before serving.
