Clean Crockpot Pot Roast Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3-4 lb chuck roast trimmed
  • 2 stalks of celery cut in pieces
  • 1 small onion quartered
  • 1/2 cup mini carrots
  • 1 can 14.5 oz of beef broth
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

To Make Gravy:

  • 1/4 cup water
  • 3 Tbsp cornstarch or arrow root powder

Instructions

  1. Place all vegetables in bottom of slow cooker.
  2. Next add roast and sprinkle the top with salt and pepper.
  3. Pour beef broth around the roast in slow cooker.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours.
  5. Remove roast and set on plate.
  6. Remove vegetables and discard.
  7. Mix water and cornstarch together.
  8. Pour into crockpot and stir.
  9. Once thicken add salt and pepper for seasoning, if needed.
  10. Serve with roast.
