Sweet Potato Casserole

Sweet Potato Casserole is a family favorite recipe for the Holiday's!

  • 3 cups sweet potatoes cooked or canned (I use a 29 oz. can, drained)
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ stick butter or margarine melted
  • ½ cup evaporated milk
  • 1 ½ tsp vanilla


  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour King Arthur brand if adapting gluten free
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/3 stick butter or margarine melted


  1. Mash sweet potatoes. Add sugar, eggs, salt, butter, milk and vanilla. Put mixture into an 8x8 casserole dish. Mix topping ingredients and spread over sweet potato mixture. Bake at 325 degrees for 30 minutes.
  2. To double recipe: double all ingredients and bake in a 9x13 dish at 350 degrees 30 minutes or until top is brown and mixture no longer jiggles
