I would recommend putting a scoop of flaxseed in as well.
I agree!
I can’t have berries of any kind due to the high oxalate content. I make huge kidney stones. Would bananas work just as well?
Yes, bananas would be a good substitute.
This sounds really good
For PB/Banana fans:
Half of a frozen banana (take out of skin and put in ziploc in freezer the night before)
1/2 cup skim/fat-free milk
1/2 cup non-fat plain yogurt
Splash of vanilla
1 Tbs peanut butter
Blend well – it comes out the consistency of a thick vanilla milkshake because of the frozen banana.
I blend the fruit and yogurt in muffin cup and put into my frezer. The kids can eat the the base as “ice cream” or blend with milk for a smoothie. I want to try senting the base as their yogurt for school lunch one day. I’m just not sure how it will melt.
