Chocolate Crinkles are the simplest cookies to make and the tastiest according to my boys! All you need is a box of cake mix (Chocolate Fudge is my favorite), egg, oil, water and powdered sugar. Best of all you can easily make this gluten free or sugar free when you choose a specific cake mix.

Only 5 ingredients in these delicious cookies!

How simple is that! You mix the first 4 ingredients together until a soft dough forms and everything is incorporated together.

Next you roll into 1-inch balls and then roll through powdered sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, bake in the oven for 10 minutes and then if you can wait for them to cool (which I can't) serve and enjoy! These chocolate crinkles go perfect with White Hot Chocolate Recipe.

Are these instructions correct? I tried to make these but the cake batter dough was too wet to form into balls...

I had the same issue. I stuck my fingers in the powdered sugar and made it work and they turned out. They are tasty!

okay so sticky I couldn't even work with it at all. I've just added some (lots) of flour to see if it will work. Just baking a few now to see if I can get it to work.

You need to chill the dough it sounds like.

The dough is sticky but I used the smallest ice cream scoop and just plopped the dough into the powdered sugar then rolled with a fork and they turned out great!!! A huge hit at Christmas this year! Thank you for such an easy recipe!
