If you are looking for an affordable Mother’s Day present or teacher appreciation gift look no further. This DIY Coffee Sugar Scrub is a thrifty gift that you can make easily. I love finding a use for leftover coffee grinds and this is a recipe that you can easily re-purpose your leftover grounds for. If you are a coffee fanatic you are going to love the smell of this sugar scrub. Best of all you most likely have the majority of your ingredients in your pantry right now!
In addition to the aroma I love how soft this coffee scrub makes my skin feel. An added benefit is that the sugar helps remove dry skin and the caffeine can lessen the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks. Woo Hoo! Can you say – I need a gallon of this stat! 🙂
Best of all you can use your choice of oil for this recipe. I personally like Olive Oil, Coconut Oil or Grape Seed Oil. You simply mix the ground coffee and sugar together in a small bowl and gradually mix the oil until well blended. You can even add a dash of essential oils or extract for an added boost for your senses. To use simply dampen your skin and rub 1-2 Tablespoons as a body scrub focusing on rough skin such as your elbows, knees and heels. Don’t forget any areas where you want to reduce the signs of cellulite. Wash away or clean off with a damp towel. Enjoy!
