Easy Homemade Black Pepper Gravy is one the easiest recipes to make.  It seems as if it took me years to learn how to make the perfect gravy.

Easy Homemade Black Pepper Gravy recipe that you can make with only 5 basic ingredients!

I had a lot of trial and error when trying to make gravy from drippings.  With this basic gravy recipe their is no drippings to use.  Which makes it so easy!

Easy Homemade Black Pepper Gravy recipe that you can make with only 5 basic ingredients!

Start by melting the butter in a sauce pan and slowly whisk in the flour making sure there is no clumps.  Slowly pour in the milk and whisk. The sauce will start to thicken, next add in salt and pepper.  Be sure to taste test and add more if desired. Serve Easy Homemade Black Pepper Gravy over biscuits, mashed potatoes or Country Fried Chicken.

It was so easy to make as a side dish. Added imitation beef it turned out Chipped beef like that at Mess halls! Taste was excellent and I sprinkled over rice... Mahalos! for mancave style foods!

Nice and thick and creamy and super simple! Great recipe.
I'd add a little less salt and especially pepper next time, but that's just my preference.

Also, for some of you not-so-great cooks, is heat the butter on a slightly lower setting.

This is my standby recipe for cream gravy. Easy to make and very delicious. I play with seasonings and extra ingredients. Wonderful.

I made this last night 4/6/2019. This recipe has way to much pepper. I made a new batch today 4/7/2019 and only use 1/2 teaspoon of pepper and 1/2 teaspoon salt and it was much more edible. I only give it 3 stars because of it being inedible the first time I made it by following the exact recipe.

It really depends on how much Pepper that you like. It is a Black Pepper Gravy so using less is always an option.
