Homemade Cinnamon Ornaments are so simple and easy to make. It's a great craft to do with the kids on their Christmas break from school. I love to hang these on the Christmas tree and attach to gifts but I also like to hang them in the bathroom and hallways because they put off a lovely cinnamon scent.

One year many many moons ago, as I was attempting to make these ornaments with two of my children (ages 11 & 12), I used a bit too much apple sauce and had no more cinnamon to add to thicken it. What a mess, but while playing around with it , we discovered that by squeezing it between our hands and plopping it down, we could make these lovely little...um, mounds. So, we made a bunch of ... piles, let them dry, then called them reindeer poop! We arranged some under our tree and even gave them out to lucky recipients as gifts! That was a great Christmas!!!
